March 2010: The team would like to welcome two new operational members to the group. Lee and Dan joined us at the beginning of the month and both are already fully operational. We will shortly be adding their mug shots to the wanted list, (the responder team page).
February 2010: On the 27th we had one of our charity car washes which we have at Hythe ambulance station thanks to the support of the officers and ambulance crews at Hythe. The day was very successful and enjoyed by all. The event ran from 9am though to 2:30pm, and we raised; £157. This amount will go towards our recent purchase of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). December 2009: Christmas party was a bit of a let down due to the venue letting us and many others down with the service, despite this already we are actively looking at a venue for next years christmas event. This years Christmas party is being held on the 18th of December.
Community Responders are volunteers who give their time freely to help save lives in their community. They are trained by South Central Ambulance Service (Hampshire Division) in basic life support, the use of Automatic External Defibrillators (AED’s) and the treatment and control of a wide range of potentially life threatening conditions.
